Not a lot happened at The Hawks trip to a windswept Canvey Island. It would be fair to say that this was the most boring game of the season. Both sides had few chances as the bumpy pitch and wind ruined any attempt to play some decent football.About 30 Hawks fans made the trip, the only exciting incident they saw was Paul Doswell and kit man Richie Pope getting sent off for words said to the referee.
After the game the fans who went into the bar were treated to a beer first from Henry (has he had a pay rise), then Nicky Bailey followed by one by a very friendly bunch of Concord fans.
We also found out that 16 year old Joe was taller than the Concord giant number 11 Joel Nouble.
The day ended with a impromptu gymnastics session on the train back from Benfleet to London, followed by meeting a strange man at West Ham tube station.
