In very windy but warm conditions over 50 Hawks fans got good value for their £14 gate money and saw a fighting performance from Havant. It was only the goal post which saved Dartford in the second half as a super strike from Roarie Deacon nearly gave Havant the win. The wind dictated the game and the Hawks fans behind the goal had great fun with Mark Smith the Dartford goalie and his goal kick problems – some of which were not that bad.

The local pubs, the Ivy Leaf and The Malt Shovel were friendly, but a special mention goes out to the Wat Tyler Inn in the High Street which has cornered the market in attracting all the local characters!

Most of the Hawks fans were satisfied with the draw and the team effort, it was a game which in the past Havant would go and lose. A good sign for the season ahead.
